Common questions
I'm not getting the verification code. Check your spam folder — verification emails sometimes land there. Codes are valid for 10 minutes, and you can request a new one after 30 seconds. If it still doesn't arrive, your employer's mail system may be filtering it; contact us and we'll help.
My work email won't verify. Codes expire after 10 minutes and can only be used once, so make sure you're using the most recent one. If you previously verified that address on another account, verifying it again transfers it to your current account — controlling the mailbox is what counts.
Can my employer find out it was me? We do not disclose your work email address to your employer, and it is held separately from anything you post. What we cannot control is the content of what you write: a very specific detail, or a distinctive role at a small company, can identify you. See our Community Guidelines for how to think about this.
Can I change my username? Yes, in Settings, as long as the one you want is available.
I've changed jobs. Verify your new work email in Settings. Your account, history and username stay with you.
How do I delete my account? Settings → Account → Delete account, or see the deletion page.
Reporting content
Every post, comment and review has a report option. Tell us which rule you think was broken — it helps us act faster. You can also block a member, which removes their content from your experience immediately, without waiting for us.
